Well here we are at the end of yet another year that seems to have flown by and I’m looking back over this past year at what’s been achieved, what’s been enjoyed, and thinking of plans for next year.

If someone was to ask you what The Lion King, Animal Farm, and Finding Nemo all have in common, how would you answer?

You might answer that question by stating that they’re all stories about animals, which isn’t entirely correct; in fact, to think of any of these stories as being about animals is to miss the point of these stories and how they encapsulate the art of storytelling.

The Storytelling Mastery Of Weta Workshop [Escape Off The Road]

Escape Off The Road is a collectable statue created as part of Wētā Workshop’s Masters Collection in celebration of the 20th anniversary of The Lord Of The Rings: The Fellowship Of The Ring.

We’re going to examine the storytelling mastery of Wētā Workshop, using this fine art sculpture as our exhibit.

Tolkien Reading Day – The Love & Friendship Of Gandalf & Bilbo

Well, it’s finally upon us, the 25th March, or as we better know it; Tolkien Reading Day! This time around I’ve decided to read through several passages of both The Hobbit and The Lord of the Rings by JRR Tolkien, to read about the love and friendship of Gandalf and Bilbo Baggins.
